Wireing a electric garage heater?
i bought a 5000 watt garage heater and you have to wire it to a 220 the person at the store told me you have to wire it right into the box, my question is why cant you put a cord on it and just plug it into a 220 outlet

What is cheaper to run? an electric garage heater or a natural gas garage heater?

Amp and running a electric garage heater/furnace?
I have a nice 2 and half car garage in the midwest, I have electric running out to my garage. I followed the electric and the panel is located in my basement it says 15. So I only have 15 amp running to my garage. Is there a heater I could run to keep it warm im in the midwest most require 20 amp. I don't want to run propane heat in there fumes and safety etc. Also I don't want to run a natural gas line just to run a furnace I had found a furnace online for 100 but they seem to run on 20 amp any ideas thanks oil radiator heater one person mentioned this is there fumes where can I buy one I dont have the money to invest into another one right now as far as rewired the garage and changing the breaker?
